Kangaroo Fun! - Pink and Main

Good Sunday Morning Pink and Main Friends!

Today,  I am sharing a guy's card with you.  I looked at my stash and was running very low on the masculine cards.  So that is what my inspiration was for this card.  I have a brother, brother in law, several nephews and of course a hubby so I needed to get busy!!

My design steps:

  1. Use an A2 white card stock base. Cut a slight smaller piece of textured card stock but do not attach to the card base
  2. Cut out 3 Designer Paper (Pink and Main Take Flight 2 Pad) circles using die cuts (Pink and Main Circle Stitch dies) First glue down the largest circle then cut a piece of washi tape and tape it as shown.  After attaching the washi tape you can glue the textured card stock to the front of the white card base
  3. Glue down the smallest circle as shown then pop up the middle sized circle as shown
  4. Stamp the Kangaroo (Pink and Main Koalaty Friends) and color with copics: E35, 37, 39 - R20 - 100
  5. Cut out the Kangaroo with the matching die cuts (Pink and Main Koalaty Friends) pop the Kangaroo to the front of the card
  6. Stamp the sentiment just below the Kangaroo (Pink and Main Koalaty Friends)

Koala Hugs - Cottage Cutz

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends!!

Spring always brings new life!  It is so much fun to see all of the new baby birds all around our neighborhood.  Plus all of the other new born animals such as the fawn, fox and squirrels!  That is what inspired me in doing this sweet card. I am using one of Cottage Cutz new baby die sets called Baby Koala with Blanket.

Here are my design steps to make this adorable little keepsake!
 1. Use the large Double-Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out the blue designer paper and then cut a slightly larger piece of piece of pink card stock to mat it. Next cut out pink designer paper using the second largest circle from the Cross-Stitched Circle set.  Using white card stock cut out the doily using Tea Time Doily.
 2.  Glue down the pink mat in the center then adhere the blue designer paper on top
 3. Slightly offset the doily and glue down add the pink designer paper circle to the top as shown
 4.  Cut out all the pieces of the Baby Koala with Blanket.  Use dark gray, light gray, black, white, yellow and blue card stock for the pieces.
 5. Using gray, blue and pink ink lightly sponge around the edge of the Koala bear pieces, the blanket and bottle
 6.  Use the second to the smallest Cross-Stitched Circle die and cut a white piece of card stock then stamp on the sentiment
 7.  Assemble all of the pieces by using a narrow tip fast drying glue.  Use small black pearls for the Koala's eyes
 8. Pop up the Koala Bear and the bottle onto the pink designer paper.  Pop up the sentiment on the upper right hand corner and add a star button

Window Wreath - Pink and Main

Good Morning Dear Pink and Main Fans!

It has been gorgeous weather here in South Carolina!  The humidity hasn't set in yet so we are really enjoying our walks with our big lab Cookie!  There are just dozens of different types of birds here. And as a matter of fact we have a huge Bald Eagle's nest in our neighbors tree.  Plus another extremely large nest with a Blue Crane.  The Crane has 3 babies and I don't know how it is staying in the tree it is so gigantic. All of the birds have inspired me to do a card using our set with sweet little birds called Airmail.

Designer Steps:

  1. Use a white A2 card base and cut a slightly smaller piece of light gray card stock.  I scored the gray card stock every 1/2 inch to make it look like siding.
  2. Use a die to cut out the white window and dark gray shutters
  3. Place a piece of designer card stock (Pink and Main Shades of Spring Paper Pad) behind the window and mount to card as shown
  4. Cut out green grass and glue to the bottom of the gray card stock
  5. Stamp the sentiment (Pink and Main Airmail) in black in as shown
  6. Using a punch and the same designer paper you used in the window. Punch out 5 flowers and glue to card front add pearls to the center
  7. Stamp images (Pink and Main Airmail) and color with copic: C0, 1, 3 - YG23, 25 - RV02, 13 - BG70, 72 - Y06
  8. Use coordinating dies (Pink and Main Airmail) and cut out images then glue to card as shown

As Always Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings
