Party Gorilla!!

 Hello Friends

I hope you all had a very plentiful and blessed Thanksgiving!! I sure did!!

I am using a die from our new Black Friday Safari release.  This little baby Safari Gorilla makes a perfect birthday card with his hand full of colorful and festive balloons!

Use a red A2 card base, yellow card stock and a piece of Happy Birthday DP.  Before you glue the yellow card stock with the DP to the card front I added a strip of yellow card stock for the gorilla to sit on and a red polka dot ribbon.  Next assemble and shade the gorilla and glue him together.  Cut out all the balloons and black string then glue them into a cluster and attach to the gorilla's hand.  Pop the gorilla to the card and add your sentiment

I also decided to add a little fun to the inside of my card.  I used the Balloon Variety die to create all these fun shapes!

Gingerbread Gift!

Hello Friends,

It is Pam creating with you today!

Just a reminder that our online store is featuring some beautifully detailed Christmas dies.  The dies are from Christmas Part 1 (22 designs), Christmas Part 2 (21 designs), and Christmas Part 3 (12 designs).  All of these fabulous dies are on sale right now in the store for 25% off.  Just click here to check them out.

Today,  I am working with the Gingerbread Baker die.  It is perfect for making little gift bags full of gingerbread cookies! I found this adorable little gingerbread man cookie cutter.  So I am going to fill these bags with little tiny gingerbread men!

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Gingerbread Baker die cut light brown, dark brown, red, green and white card stock.  Shade the pieces using a variety of ink colors and a small applicator

2.  Assemble the little gingerbread men using a fine tip glue.  Use a fine tip black marker to color in the eyes and then add a dot of white ink using a white gel pen

3.  Use a polka dot background stamp and stamp a small white bag.  Next I used our largest Scallop Retangle die to cut off part of the bag and to get a scalloped edge.  I also used an Avery Shipping Tag 2 3/4 x 1 3/8.  Stamp the tag in brown with A gift for you.

4.  Loop the tag over the top of the bag and glue the Gingerbread man with the rolling pen on top of the string.  I only glue down the right side of the gingerbread man on the bottom of the bag so the tag could just slide behind him.  This way you can open the bag without ripping him. Your cute little gift back is complete

Today,  I am working with the Farm Truck Ornament die.  I just love the country feel to this sweet little ornament.  This is a quick and easy card great for multiples!

Design Steps:
1.  Using the Farm Truck Ornament cut it out of a deep red, using the 4th from the largest Pierced Circle die cut one out of a grey parchment paper, using the Lantern with Pine Boughs cut out 2 different green shades of card stock. I made 3 cuts to get the amount of pine boughs I needed
2.  Use an A2 grey parchment base, cut a deep red piece of card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and a piece of plaid DP 3 3/4 x 5.  Glue the red and plaid paper together then glue to the base card
4.  Glue the pierced circle to the card as shown and then glue the ornament on the top of the circle be careful to get it lined up.  Arrange the pine boughs in the upper left corner of the card
5.  To complete the card add a small ribbon to the upper left hand side of the card

Bringing the Christmas Tree Home!

  Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

It is Pam sharing with you on the blog today and I hope you are all doing well!

The design team is continuing to create cards from our new releases.  The dies are from Christmas Part 1 (22 designs), Christmas Part 2 (21 designs), and Christmas Part 3 (12 designs).  All of these fabulous dies are on sale right now in the store for 25% off.  Just click here to check them out.

I am well on my way with my Christmas cards and I only have about 10 more to go!  I am using the Reindeer w/Tree today. This little reindeer needed a Christmas tree so he ventured out into the forest and chopped one down! I think he got a really great tree!

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Reindeer w/Tree die cut out green, brown, tan, red, dark brown, and black card stock
2.  Shade the pieces using a variety of ink colors.  I used TH's and Stampin Up inks with a small applicator.  Glue the pieces together with a fine tip glue
3.  For the background cut out 3 additional pine trees in green and some birch trees in gray using the Birch Tree die.  Glue the birch trees down first then pop up 2 pine trees
4.  Cut a bank of snow out of white glitter card stock and pop it to the bottom of the card
5.  Last glue the blue panel to an A2 white card base.  Pop on the reindeer and the sentiment and your card front is complete
6.  For the inside I used a embossed white panel added a pine tree and the sentiment
