Fall Color - Scrapping Cottage

Good Morning Scrapping Friends!

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday.  It gives us time to stop and reflect on how blessed we are.  And after giving our thanks we get to enjoy a yummy meal with family and friends.

I am almost finished with my Thanksgiving cards but I could not resist making one more card with some gorgeous Fall Leaves on it.

Design Steps:
 1.  Cut all pieces out of white card stock using the Fall Leaves dies
 2.  Sponge the leaves with TH Distressed inks
 3.  After sponged take the leaves and coat them with Versa Mark ink.  After you coat them with ink dip them into clear embossing powder
 4.  Heat set the leaves with your heat gun.  The colors will really pop!
 5.  Use an A2 white card base, cut a slightly smaller piece of black card stock.  Then use a piece of DP and cut it slightly smaller then the black.  Glue the black and DP to the front of the white card base
 6. Cut a dove tail black banner 5 x 2 3/4 inch and then a slightly smaller piece of burlap to layer over the black

7.  Begin to layer the leaves onto the banner working from the bottom to the top.  Cut out the brown twigs using the Cardinal & Bird die tuck them into the leaves as shown.  Add the sentiment and button then your card is complete

Enjoy Fall! - Scrapping Cottage

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends!

Happy Thursday to you! I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful fall weather and all of the colors that are starting to appear on the trees.  I am continuing to make fall cards not only for Halloween but for Thanksgiving as well.

My card today features the yummy cupcakes from the Autumn Sweets die and the lovely scripts are from the Fall Phrases die.

Design Steps

1.  Cut all of the pieces using the Autumn Sweets die out of white card stock

2.  Use your favorite markers to color all of the pieces

3.  Assemble the pieces with a fine tip glue.  I like to assemble them as soon as I get them colored so I don't misplace any of the small pieces.  Set the cupcakes aside
 4.  Use an A2 white card base.  Fold the front flap in half as shown above.  Cut 2 brown pieces 2 x 5 1/4 and glue to the front.  Then cut a brown piece 5 1/4 x 4 for the inside flap
 5.  Using designer paper cut 2 pieces slightly smaller then the front flap brown cards stock.  Cut one piece slightly smaller then the inside brown card stock
 6.  Using the Stitched Scalloped Oval cut out 2 ovals using lined DP
 7.  Using the Fall Phrases cut out the enjoy and fall out of brown card stock

8.  Glue one of the cup cakes to the oval and attach it to the front flap making sure you only put the glue on one side of the oval.  Also glue down the enjoy to the front flap
9.  On the inside of the card glue down the other cupcake to the lower right side of the card and then add the oval making sure it will be hidden right behind the front flap oval.  Add the word fall and your card is complete

Christmas Sparkle - Dare 2B Artzy

Good Morning Dare 2B Artzy Buddies

I can't believe how fast October is going! To be truthful I don't even know where September went! It is still very warm here in South Carolina so needless to say I am ready for a cool down!  I am trying to get ahead of the Christmas season rush.  So I am starting to make a few cards for those special people who really love handmade things!

 Design Steps

1.  Use an A2 white card base and the Nested Rectangle Flip die to cut the front flap.  Place the die right in the middle of the front of the card and cut.  Fold the front flap as shown
2.  Cut 1 white glitter matching rectangle using the second from the smallest Nested Rectangle for the front flap  and cut out 1 white card stock rectangle for the inside of the card set aside
3.  Cut a piece of red glitter card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and glue to the inside of the card then cut a slightly smaller piece of Dare 2 B Artzy DP and glue it to the red glitter paper
4.  Cut a piece of red glitter card stock 2 x 5 1/4 and glue it to the front flap.  Cut a slightly smaller piece of the Dare 2B Artzy DP and glue it to the red glitter card stock
5.  Using the red glitter card stock cut out the Dare 2B Artzy Mini Ornament.  Add a piece of silver cord to the top of the ornament and then glue it to the Rectangle die cut.
6.  Glue the Rectangle piece to the front of the card and add the silver cord bow
7.  Stamp Noel from the Ornament Tangle stamp set and layer it onto red glitter card stock.  Attach it to the front flap as shown
8.  Stamp your inside sentiment using the Ornament Tangle stamp set onto the die cut Nested Rectangle. Then glue the Nested Rectangle to the inside of the card just behind the front flap so that it lines up perfectly

Halloween Potions! - Scrapping Cottage

Hi Scrapping Cottage Fans!

I really appreciate you stopping by today!

Halloween is fast approaching and I am getting all of my cards ready to send out.  My friends, nieces, nephew, brother and sister love getting them.  So I have designed one that is relatively easy so you can make multiplies pretty fast.

Design Steps:

 1.  Use an A2 black card stock base cut a piece of DP just slightly smaller than the base.  Cut a piece of orange polka dot paper 4 in x 3 in
 2.  Glue the orange dotted paper to the top of the DP.  Add a piece of glittering black ribbon between the two papers
 3.  Mount the DP panel to the black card front
 4.  Use some green DP and cut a circle using the Nested Scalloped Stitched Circle Set.  I used the second from the largest.  Next using the Happy Halloween die cut it out in black cards stock.  Then use a small piece of orange and cut out just the pumpkin
5.  Glue the orange pumpkin on top of the tiny piece of yellow card stock.  Then glue the orange pumpkin on top of the black pumpkin.  Glue the sentiment to the center of the scalloped green circle.  Pop the scalloped circle to the card as shown below
