Chapel in the Woods - Scrapping Cottage

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends!

There are so many wonderful back roads in South Carolina that are just full of gorgeous scenery.  Almost on a daily basis you can see deer.  And it is guaranteed that no matter how far off the beaten path you will always find a small church.  That was my inspiration for this card!

Design Steps:
 1.  Cut a dark brown frame using the largest Pierced Wide Rectangle Frame Set.  Use a piece of green and blue DP for the grass and sky glue behind the frame. Die cut the mountains using the Snowcapped Mountains die.  Glue as shown.  Cut the path free hand out of light brown card stock and glue down
2.  Cut out trees using Rustic Sign & Trees die.  Use green and dark brown card stock to make the cut.  Using Woodland Fawns die cut out 2 fawn one light and one dark brown.  Use the Little Chapel die and cut out the chapel with vanilla card stock.  Assemble all die cuts
3.  Mount frame to the front of the card.  Place a small piece of yellow behind the little chapel and then glue to card.  Put the largest tree on the left and the smaller tree on the right and then add the fawn

I decided to do a Flip Down Stack card using the Dare 2B Artz set called Playful Posies Layered.

I will give you a step by step tutorial below and also a link to Splitcoaststampers where I got the original idea for the card.

 1.  Cut a piece of white card stock to 9 1/4 x 8 and fold in half. This card will fit in a business sized envelope.  Cut a piece of Dare 2B Artz DP from the Artz Doodles Variety Paper Pack 9 x 3 3/4 then mat on black card stock

 2.  Next cut 4 whtie squares 2 1/2 x 2 1/2.  Line up 3 of the squares as shown and run a line of tape across all three
 3.  On top of the tape run a piece of sheer ribbon down both sides and sip the ends of the ribbon to be flush with the square

4.  Flip the stack over and cut 4 black squares at 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 and 4 white squares at 2 1/2 x 2 1/2.  Glue the black squares to the front of the stack
5.  On the white squares you are going to make a background using inks.  Squish the ink pads to a none stick easy to clean surface and spray with water then swipe your paper through the ink.  I did 3 using the warm colors and 1 using the cool color combo

6.  After the square ink backgrounds are dry stamp with the Dare 2B Artzy Playful Poise set

7. Glue 3 to the front of the stack over top of the black mats

8.  Flip the stack over and on the bottom square cover it with a scallop white square doing the same to the middle square.  In between the 2 middle squares position a pull tab. On the middle square glue down a black mat and then the final inked stamped square.  Nothing goes on the top because it is going to be glued to the card

9.  Flip the stack back over and fold the stack up from the bottom.  If you folded it correctly you will see the decorated panel on the back

10.  Glue the stack to the front of the card as shown and attach a little paper clip to prevent the stack from opening.  Stamp your sentiment using Dare 2B Artz Hot Air Balloon

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Fans!

I have another very special wedding die to share with you today and I paired it with two additional dies!

Design Step:
1.  Start by using the Cottage Cutz Garden Bride and Groom die and cut it on white card stock.  Color the flowers with Copic markers.
 2.  Using the largest Cottage Cutz Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame cut out a white card stock frame
 3.  Using Cottage Cutz Wildflower2 and Wildflower 5 cut out 6 flowers and color with Copic markers
 4.  To give the flowers some dimension use a stylus and round out the blooms
5.  Cut out a piece of pale pink Bazzill card stock 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 and pop up the frame and then glue the bride and groom flat.
6.  Add three flowers on each side and glue dot a ribbon to the flowers as shown
7.  Mount the pale pink card stock to an A2 white base.  Add a small butterfly from the Cottage Cutz Wildflower 5 die.
