Bitten by the Bug 2 - Use Cricut Cut as a Stencil

Hello Everyone - Today Maureen is our host over at Bitten By the Bug 2.  It is her first weekly challenge on BBTB2.

She wanted everyone to think outside the box this week, so she came up with an idea to use a Cricut cut as a stencil for a card, layout, or project.  You can add cuts and embellishments if you like as well.

We hope you can come up with a fun and exciting entry.   Check the sidebar on the right side for the rules for our challenges and get to creating.  You will have until Sunday, March 2nd to link up your project.

Here is my project! I used the cartridge Paper Lace for my stencil cut at size 4.  I sponged with SU Turquoise and TH Tumbled Glass.  Then I stamped using Versa Mark and black embossing powder.  The sentiment is Paper Smooches.  Hope you like it!

The image I used is a silhouette called
Fairy and Butterfly
I sponged over this sweet digi! The sun I masked off before sponging.  I used Stampin Up inks.  The colors I used are: Pumpkin, Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Night of Navy, and Sea Breeze.  After I finished inking and letting it dry I sprayed it with Vanilla Shimmer from Smooch Spritz to make it look like fairy dust!  It is really hard to see the shimmer in the picture.

I made the flag pole using a 1/2 circle punch and a strip of paper.  The embossed background is a cuttlebug folder.

Bitten By the Bug 2 - Share Your Craft Room!

Hi Everyone over at BBTB2 we wanted to share with you our creative space!  I call it my happy place!!  As you can see in one picture I still love Barbie so I have a small group of pictures with Barbie modeling her famous outfits!! I just love them!  You can also see a tall art desk.  I rescued two from school as they were getting rid of them and my sweet hubby refinished them!  Also the big desk is from Expo when they closed down and liquidated the entire store.  The paper rack I got at a garage sale and it included all the paper!  So all of the furniture in my room cost a total of $300!

I also made this card for Bitten By the Bug2 Challenge which is Hearts!

I used Art of Philosophy! To create my heart shaker box..  I cut a solid heart from acetate and black card stock. And then I cut one red heart using the layer function which gave me the frame for the heart.  I glue the acetate to the red frame heart then used dimension tape along the edge, laying it down flat I filled the card with microbeads and paper hearts and then stuck the black back on!
