Story Book Safari

 Hello Friends

I have a cute card today that I call the Mini Story Book fold. I was inspired by a YouTube video by Karen Titus who demonstrated this fold.  I decided to use some cute jungle animals from the Safari Collections to create my fancy fold card.  This fun design will probably go to my great niece or nephew!  I am featuring two dies Safari Adventure Gang and Safari Phrases.

 Background Photo by Freepiks

Designer Steps:

1.  Using the Safari Adventure Gang die cut out the animals and leaves using the following color: two shades of green, black, mustard yellow, dark brown, tan, light and dark gray, rust, and light blue.  Using the Safari Phrases die cut out the Go Wild and Adventure awaits in black
2.  Assemble the animals with a fine tip glue
3.  Using the largest Pierced Wide Circle Frame die cut out nine circles.  Glue 3 circle frames together so you will have a sturdier thicker frame
4.  Cut out some cream colored circles to fit behind the frame.  And before gluing them to the back of the frame stencil on some light blue clouds
5.  After stenciling glue to the back of the circle frame
6.  Assemble the three frames as shown above
7.  To create the base start with a piece of cream card stock 12 x 5 1/2.  Score at 1 3/4, 4 3/4 and 7 3/4.  Fold valley first score line, mountain next score line and finally a valley fold on the last
8.  Flip the card over and place glue on the side right next to the smallest flap and close the fold
9.  Your card should look like this after you glue.  You will have 3 flaps
10.  Cut 1 piece of DP 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, 2 pieces of DP 2 7/8 x 5 3/8 and 2 piece of DP 1 5/8 x 5 3/8
11.  Glue the DP pieces to your card base and then add your circles and a few extra leaves

Gone Fishing

Hello Friends,

I am sharing a slimline card featuring the dies Fishing Gear and Fishing Pole and Boat.  I am really low on masculine cards so I am making this one that can be used as a Birthday or Father's Day card for any guy that loves the outdoors.  It reminds me of my Grandpa who use to love lake fishing!

Design Steps:

1.  Start with a dark brown slimline base measuring 8 1/4 x 3 1/4 when folded.  Cut a piece of water designer paper 2 3/4 x 7 3/4. Cut three pieces of kraft card stock using the Window Slimline die

2.  Glue the window frames together and then ink the windows with TH Vintage Photo
3.  Glue the water DP to the back of the Slimline Windows and then glue to the dark brown card base
4.  Use the following dies Fishing Gear, Fishing Pole and Boat, Campin' Out Sun & Moon, Bear & Sign and Moose and Trees cut out the various colors of card stock.  Assemble the pieces
5.  Glue the lake, boat, tree and sun to the middle window
6.  Glue the sign, lures and tackle box to the right side window as shown above
7.  Glue the Pole, fish, vest and boots to the left side window as shown above and your card is complete

Giddy Up!

Hello Crafty Friends

It is Pam sharing with you today!

I decided to change it up a bit and do a Western Theme card.  I am featuring the sweet Dog in a Cowboy Boot die on a fancy fold card. The slip in tag can hold a greeting and gift card.  This fancy fold was inspired by Beth over at SplitcoastStampers.

                                                                                                                                                     Background picture from Freepiks

Designer Steps:

1.  Use a dark brown A2 card base and cut the front flap at a diagonal save the cut off triangle.  Cut a piece of double sided designer paper 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  Take the double sided designer paper and cut it at a diagonal as shown above
2.  Glue one side of the designer paper to the left flap and the other side of the piece to the triangle that is not attached yet.  Next put a thin line of glue on the outter edge and bottom of the unattached triangle and then glue it to the front of the card.  This will create a pocket
3.  Cut a piece of dark brown card stock 5 x 3 3/4 and a piece of stripped designer paper 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.  Round the corners and glue together
4.  Decorate the inside piece as you wish.  I am going to use it as a gift card holder.  Once decorated slip the stripped piece inside of the pocket

5.  Using the Dog in a Cowboy Boot die cut out the pieces and ink the edges before assembly
6.  Cut a strip of brown card stock 1 x 11.  Use a punch on cream colored card stock to create the scallop.  Cut one 2 inch cream colored circle and ink.  Cut one 2 1/4 inch circle in dark brown.  Glue the circles together
7.  Wrap the band around the card and secure it to the card back.  Glue the circles to the center and then add the Boot and your sentiment.  Your card is complete
