Miles Apart! - Dare 2B Artzy

Good Morning Dare 2B Artzy Friends!

Happy 2019 to you!  I hope you have a wonderful new year filled with blessings, happiness and a lot of crafty fun!  Believe it or not I have started my Valentines.  All of my family live a long distance away from me so I am using this awesome stamp set called Hot Air Balloons.  I think it is so perfect for friends and family that live so far away!

Design Steps:

1.  Use an A2 white card base.  Cut a piece of red card stock slightly smaller then the base and then a piece of Summertime Petal Collection paper just slightly smaller then the red card stock.

2.  Glue red card stock to the front of the card and set aside.

3.  To create the shaker I used white fun foam with the adhesive back.  Stick the DP to the fun foam with removable tape.  Cut out the heart using a heart shaped die

4.  Separate the fun foam and the DP.  Peel away the waxy protective paper from the fun foam to expose the sticky side.   Place a piece of acetate on the sticky fun foam.  The acetate only has to be slightly bigger the the heart cutout.

5.  After you have placed the acetate piece to the foam line up the hearts and stick the DP to the sticky fun foam

6.  Flip the DP side upside down to expose the shaker well then fill it with beads and heart rhinestones

7.  Glue a piece of white card stock behind the heart shaped shaker making sure you put glue all the way around the window but not to close to edge so that it won't ooze onto the acetate.  You do not want glue showing through your shaker window. After it dries glue it onto the red which is glued to the card base

8.  Stamp your balloons using Hot Air Balloons  and color with copics or your favorite markers.  Cut them out with the coordinating dies.

9.  Pop the balloons onto your card.  Stamp your sentiment using the Hot Air Balloons stamp set and layer it onto red.  Pop it to the card as shown

10.  I used a punch to cut out the little red hearts and then glued them to the card

9.  Cut out the Hugs using the Stitched Alphabet die on white card stock
10.  Glue the Hampster onto the wheel and then glue to the front flap.  Glue the Hugs to the front strip as shown
11.  Glue the other little Hampster to the inside on top of the strip as shown
12.  Cut out 2 red hearts using the Stitched Cupcake die pop them inside the hampsters mouths

Waiting on Santa - Scrapping Cottage

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends!

I am getting so excited Christmas is almost here!  I look forward to spending time with my family.  My cards are almost done.  I have mailed most of them out already.  For the card today I combined one of our older dies with a new one and I love how it turned out!

Designer Steps:
 1.  Use an A2 white card base cut a slightly smaller piece of red and glue it to the card. Cut a piece of  DP slightly smaller then the red and glue it to the red.

2.  Cut a piece of green 1 1/2 x 4 then run it through the embossing machine for texture.  Glue it to the bottom of the DP
3.  Use DP and cut out the chair using the Puppy & Kitten on Chair die.  Shadow the chair using black ink
4.  Cut out the puppy using the Puppy & Kitten on Chair die.  I cut the pup out of light brown and dark brown card stock
5.  Using dark green and brown card stock cut out the tree with the Rustic Tree and Sign die
6.  Glue the tree flat to the card front and then pop up the chair with the pup
7.  Decorate the tree with rhinestones and add the sentiment layered on red

Cozy Christmas - Scrapping Cottage

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Fans!

I am still cranking out my Christmas cards.  I make the cards mainly for family, close friends and especially the kids.  The one I am making today is going to a friend's little son!  He is just 2 which is the perfect age at Christmas.  He is just so excited about everything!!

Design Steps:
 1.  Cut all the piece out using the Cozy Fireplace Pets die.  I cut them out of the different colored card stocks seen above. Add shading with red, brown, dark green, and gray ink.  After shading assemble all of the pieces
 2.  Use an A2 white card base cut a slightly smaller piece of yellow card stock and cut a piece of yellow striped DP slightly smaller then the yellow card stock
 3.  Cut a piece of brown card stock 4 x 1 1/2.  Glue the striped DP to the yellow card stock and then add the brown to the bottom of the striped paper
 4.  Glue to the A2 white card base
 5.  Place the fireplace onto the card first and then add the rug with the little critters
6.  Stamp your sentiment and layer onto red card stock.  Glue to the upper center of the card as shown
