Sea You Soon

Hello Friends

I am sharing a fun little under the sea card today with some adorable creatures.  The dies I am featuring are Seahorse and Jellyfish The card is a slimline using the Slimline Window die.

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Seahorse and the Jellyfish die cut out the seahorse in light mint and dark mint.  Cute out the jellyfish in peach.  I inked both creatures in coordinating colors.  The fish, sand and the seaweed are from an older die called Tropical Fish.  Assemble the creatures with a fast drying fine tip glue

2.  Cut a piece of white card stock for the slimline card base measuring 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 when folded.  Cut a piece of blue card stock using the Window Slimline die.  Cut a piece of water DP 3 x 8

3.  Glue the DP to the back of the blue window slimline frame.  Add the sand to the bottom and the seaweed as shown

4.  Glue the panel to the front of the white slimline card base

5.  Add the seahorse, jellyfish and small fish to the card front as shown above.  Stamp your sentiment and layer onto green card stock.  Glue to the card front and card is complete

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Under the Sea - Scrapping Cottage

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Fans!

I hope you are having a fantastic summer.  I live in the Hilton Head area so we have a good number of tourist coming to visit.  And the biggest draw is the beautiful Atlantic Ocean!  So I thought I would do an ocean themed card inspired by our beautiful sea!

Here are the design steps:

1.  Use inks on watercolor paper direct to paper then use water and a stipple brush to move the ink around on the paper
2.  Distress the edges of the paper and use distress ink on the edges
3.  Use a stencil and translucent embossing paste to create the bubbles
4.  Glue Prills to the bottom of the card to create the sand
 5.  Use Kraft card stock and cut out the Cottage Cutz Sand Dollar and Sea Horse
 6.  Ink the Sand Dollar and Sea Horse then splatter with a dark brown ink

7.  Cut seaweed using the Under the Sea die and ink the seaweed.  Attach a piece of cheese cloth that has been lightly inked to the center of the card. Then attach all of the dies.  Last splatter the entire card with dark brown ink

I hope you take a walk outside and let nature inspire you!

Blessings
Pam
