Baby Clothes! - Cottage Cutz

Good Morning My Friends!

The release of baby dies here at the Scrapping Cottage has been so much fun! The dies are just incredibly detail and oh so sweet!! The Baby Clothesline die is so so adorable!  And that is what I am showcasing today!

 Here are my design steps:
1.  Using the Baby Clothesline die cut out all of the pieces using yellow, gray, pink, purple, blue, brown and green card stock. After all of the pieces are cut shade them using a variety of inks and a small dabber
2.  After the shading is complete assemble the pieces using a fine tip glue applicator.  Add small black pearls for the eyes on the giraffe and elephant
 3.  Cut the pink frame using the Pierced Wide Rectange Frame die set.  Cut the green grass using the Spring Grass die and then cut a piece of cloud designer to put behind the pink frame
 4.  Place the grass behind the frame and glue to the frame then add the cloud designer paper to the back of the pink frame as shown.  Begin adding the animals on the sides of the frame as shown then attach the little blue clothesline
 5.  Add the clothes onto the clothesline and last add the tiny little clothespins!  Total cuteness!!!
 7.  Using a piece of green card stock the same color as the grass cut out the Congratulations and glue to the bottom of the front of the card
 8.  Add the pink frame and you have a darling card for a new mom!

Warm Wishes to All Moms - Pink and Main

Good Morning Pink and Main Friends

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms! Today,  I am sharing a card I made that uses some unique color combinations which I think look very pretty together.  Mix in a little tulle, stenciling and some pearls and you have a beautiful Mother's Day card!

Design Steps:
  1. Use a taupe A2 card base and cut a slightly smaller piece of mint green card stock and glue to the front of the base
  2. Cut a piece of mustard colored card stock 4 x 5 1/4.  Use a TH stencil and mustard ink to create the background.  If you do not have mustard you can use Versa Mark
  3. Cut a piece of mint card stock 4 x 1 1/2 and wrap tulle around it taping the tulle to the back.  Next cut a piece of 4 x 1 inch mint card stock and create a scalloped lacy border using the Pink and Main Lacy Border dies
  4. Glue the mint card stock wrapped with tulle to the center of the mustard stenciled card stock.  Tuck the scalloped border up under it as shown.  Glue the enter piece of mustard card stock to the card front right on top of the mint green
  5. Using the Pink and Main Wishes die cut the sentiment on taupe card stock.  Using double sided sticky paper adhere to the tulle.
  6. Cut a small piece of taupe card stock and stamp Sending Warm using the Pink and Main Wishes stamp set in versa mark and then use clear embossing powder heat set and pop to the front of the card
  7. Add the pearls and your card is complete

Gift Card Holder - Cottage Cutz

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends!

I just thought I would share another use for this cute little new release Baby Monkey die!  I always need cards for enclosing gift cards. So I found this really easy design on Youtube.  I altered some of the measurements so that it would fit into a A2 envelope.   It seems now a days that a gift card is all anyone wants especially my older nieces and nephews.  I must admit it is much easier then trying to please them but it does take some of the fun out of gift searching!

Designer steps:

1.  Use a light brown card stock base 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 4 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2.  Use your bone folder and crease the card as shown.
2. Flip the card over and put a strip of strong tape as shown then press together.  This will form the card holder.

3. Use the second to the largest Pierced Rectangle die which is the same wideth as a gift card and make the cut through the mountain fold.

4. And now it is time to decorate the  card!  Cut a white 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of white card stock and emboss it with cupcakes.  Glue to the front of the card

5. Using the Baby Monkey with Balloons die cut all the pieces of the monkey and balloons.  Use brown, tan, and black for the monkey.  Before you assemble the monkey sponge the edges for more depth
6. Glue all the pieces together adding small black pearls for the eyes

7. Cut the balloons using designer paper and the strings out of black card stock
8. Cut a strip of light brown card stock 11 x 1 inches this will make a band around your card to keep the gift card inside it good and safe.   Just take your band and fit it around your card and make a tiny pencil mark as to where you will place the tape

9. Cut a Cross Stitched Circle out of designer paper and glue the monkey and balloons to the circle.  Then attach the circle to the front of the band set aside

10. On the inside of the card cut a Double Stitched Rectangle and glue to the center of the inside of the card
11. Using designer paper cut another set of balloons, string and the word Celebrate glue all to the inside of the card

I hope you enjoyed this project and that it will inspire you to make a card with an enclosed gift card!

Kangaroo Fun! - Pink and Main

Good Sunday Morning Pink and Main Friends!

Today,  I am sharing a guy's card with you.  I looked at my stash and was running very low on the masculine cards.  So that is what my inspiration was for this card.  I have a brother, brother in law, several nephews and of course a hubby so I needed to get busy!!

My design steps:

  1. Use an A2 white card stock base. Cut a slight smaller piece of textured card stock but do not attach to the card base
  2. Cut out 3 Designer Paper (Pink and Main Take Flight 2 Pad) circles using die cuts (Pink and Main Circle Stitch dies) First glue down the largest circle then cut a piece of washi tape and tape it as shown.  After attaching the washi tape you can glue the textured card stock to the front of the white card base
  3. Glue down the smallest circle as shown then pop up the middle sized circle as shown
  4. Stamp the Kangaroo (Pink and Main Koalaty Friends) and color with copics: E35, 37, 39 - R20 - 100
  5. Cut out the Kangaroo with the matching die cuts (Pink and Main Koalaty Friends) pop the Kangaroo to the front of the card
  6. Stamp the sentiment just below the Kangaroo (Pink and Main Koalaty Friends)
