Design Steps
1.  Cut out all of the pieces using the Ahoy Matey! die.  I used green, blue, black, white yellow and purple card stock
2.  Shade the pieces using a small applicator and TH inks.  Assemble the pieces using a fine tip glue and a white gel pen for the eye.  I cut the Ahoy and Matey words twice and glued them together for some strength
3.  For the background of this card I cut a port hole using the Pierced Wide Circle Frame die.  I inked it and then glued it slightly off  an A2 white card base as shown. Next cut off the part that hangs over the card edge.  I then masked around it and stenciled in the clouds using a cosmetic blender brush and TH ink
4.  Lastly I used the LawnMower dies inter wheels for the black port hole accents.  Glued them down and added Glossy Accents to them for some shine.  I glued down the Ahoy Motey! as shown and then pop up the parrot.  Your card is complete

Mr. Bear

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends!

As we enter the first few weeks of summer it is fun to see all of the plants and flowers in full bloom.  That also brings the honey bee.  We have some fruit trees in the backyard and they still have a few blooms and the little bees love them! That is my inspiration for this card!

Design Steps:
 1.  Cut the pieces out of a variety of colored card stock using the Garden Bear, Potted Plants, Flower Power Tomte and Potting Shed dies.  Shade the pieces and assemble with a fine tip glue
 2.  Use a piece of white card stock 3 3/4 x 5 and shade in some blue ink for the sky
 3.  Glue your pieces onto the blue shaded background

4.  I decided I need a bit of green at the bottom to ground my scene so I added it using a blender brush just as I did the sky.  Next layer onto a piece of black card stock

5.  I then added the extra pots and the little sign to complete the scene

6. Here is a good trick if you don't have any paper to match your scene.  I used the same ink that I colored the flowers with and brushed it onto the edges of a piece of white card stock 4 x 5 1/4.  Glue the edged panel to a white A2 card

7.  Mount the bear panel to the purple edged panel.  Stamp Hello to the little sign, add sparkle to the bees wings and black dots to the flower centers and your card is complete

Garden Cart!

Hello My Scrapping Cottage Friends!

Today,  I have a sweet pup just peeking out of a lovely garden cart!  I decided to make it into a thank you card but it could easily be a birthday, just because or a hello card!

Background Photo by Joe Woods on Unsplash

Design Steps:

 1.  Using white card stock and the Puppy in Garden Cart die cut out all of the pieces.  I did use a piece of red polka dot DP and recut the umbrella pieces
2.  Using Tim Holtz inks and a small sponge applicator color and shade all of the pieces.  Next assemble them using a fine tip glue
 3.  Use a white A2 card base, a piece of red card stock cut 4 x 5 1/4, a piece of polka dot blue DP cut with a Stitched Scallop Square and a piece of green card stock cut with the Spring Grass die
4.  Attach the ribbon toward the bottom of the red card stock and add your sentiment
5.  Next add the grass to the bottom of the polka dot blue scallop square.  And then glue your garden card to the square as shown.  Pop the blue square to the red panel just above the ribbon and then attach to the white card base.  Lastly add the tiny black rhinestones to the pup's eyes and some tiny red rhinestones to the yellow flowers and your card is complete

Planting a Garden

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

I am using several different dies today to create this little garden card.  Plus some fun designer paper and ribbon.  Hope you can play along with me today!

Design Steps:

 1.  Using the Planter Box & Seeds die plus the Garden Tools die cut all pieces out of white card stock
 2.  Color the pieces using Tim Holtz inks and a sponge applicator.  Assemble the pieces using a fine tip glue
 3. Use a white A2 card base, Yellow card stock cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and Green checked DP cute 3 3/4 x 5.   Cut 2 yellow squares and 1 rectangle square using the Pierced Square and Pierced Rectangle dies.  Layer the squares and rectangle onto white card stock
 4.  Glue the checked DP to the yellow card stock layer.  Glue the yellow retangle and squares to their white layer then arrange onto the DP
 5.  Add the ribbon to the checked DP as shown.  Put pop dots onto the back of the squares and retangle then adhere to the check DP

6.  Add the die cut planter box, seeds, and tools to the squares and rectangle as shown.  Glue to the white card base.  To finish add the sentiment and rhinestones
