Snowman and Owl Pal

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

The design team is continuing to create cards from our 4 new releases.  The dies are from Christmas Part 1 (22 designs), Christmas Part 2 (21 designs), Christmas Part 3 (12 designs) and a Halloween release (14 designs).  All of these fabulous dies are on sale right now in the store for 25% off.  Just click here to check them out.

I am still working on my Christmas cards and today I will be sharing the Snowman and Owl Pal die.  I decided to pair it with a heart just to change things up a bit!

Design Steps:

1.  Start out by using the Snowman and Owl Pal die and cut on green, black, brown, light brown, yellow, red, green DP, and a red and white striped DP.  I didn't do any shading this time.  I just used a fine tip glue to assemble and a fine tip black marker for the eyes
2.  Use a white A2 card base and glue down a piece of 4 x 4 red DP at the top
3.  Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of white card stock and run it through a dotted embossing folder and then using the largest Stitched Heart die cut out a heart 3/4 of an inch from the top
4.  Apply dimensional tape to the back of the heart and then pop it directly over the red DP

5.  Use the Joy Expressions die and cut out 3 Joys from black card stock.  Glue the 3 together
6.  Pop the snowman to the left side of the heart and glue down the Joy to the right side as shown.  Your card is complete

Frosty Joy!

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam creating with you on the blog today!

I am continuing to work on my Christmas cards and I send some special ones out to my nieces and nephews.  I thought this Joy Snowman is just the perfect card for the younger kids! And it was pretty fast and easy!

Design Steps:

1.  Cut out all of the pieces using the Joy Snowman die.  I cut out 3 J's and Y's in red.  I also used DP for the scarf and hat band.  The other card stock is brown, green, white, black and orange
2.  Glue the 3 J's and the 3 Y's together.  Assemble the snowman with a fine tip glue.  Also cut a piece of silver glitter card stock with the second largest Pieced Rectangle die

3.  Cut Green card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8,  red card stock 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, white card stock 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  Before glueing the pieces together run the white piece through a diagonal striped embossing folder

4.  After the layers are glued together attach a knotted ribbon and then glue to an A2 white card base
5.  Use dimension dots to glue down the snowman making sure that he is centered.  Then use dimension dots to add the letters J and Y.  For a little extra fun add some snowflakes and your card is finished

A Griswold Christmas

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

I don't know about you but I think one of the funniest movies I have ever seen is Christmas Vacation!  This little station wagon brings me right to the scene in the movie when the Griswold's went out to get their Christmas tree! I decided to do a fun fold card with this fun die.

Design Steps

1.  Use the second from the largest Stitched Scallop Circle die and cut a red circle.  Use the second from the largest Pierced Circle die and cut out a DP blue circle
2.  Cut a piece of white card stock 7 x 3 1/2 and fold in half
3.  Glue the blue dotted DP to the red scalloped circle then mount onto the small card front
4.  Cut some red card stock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and 2 pieces 4 1/8 x 2 5/8. Cut green DP 4 x 5 1/4 and patterned DP 4 x 2 1/2.  Cut a white 11 x 4 1/2 fold in half placing the fold at the bottom of the card then cut the front flap in half
5.  Glue the large piece red card stock to the inside of the card and the two smaller pieces of red go on the outside of the front flap and the inside of the front flap.  Glue the green pattern paper to the inside of the card and the pattern paper to the front of the outside flap

6.  Cut all the pieces using the Griswold Wagon and green, black, brown, red, green and vellum.  Assemble the car with a fine tip glue

7. Glue the small card to the green inside of the card folding the front flap under the flap of the smaller card.  Open up the small white card and stamp the sentiment. I added a small strip of DP for added decoration

8.  Add some white snow to the blue dotted DP and then pop up the car.  Add a snowflake, rhinestone and your sentiment.  I used a small Velcro dot to keep the card closed

Next on the same side pop the tree up and glue to the black frame.  On the right side of the house pop up the caldron and also glue to the frame.  Add the ghosts and the bats glued flat to the back cloud panel and your card is complete
