Extraordinary!

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

Today,  I am using the Narwhal die.  This sea creature is so unique I thought it would be a perfect die to use to let a friend know how unique and extraordinary she is!! So the card I am making is one of encouragement with a little whimsy thrown in.  I am hoping it brings a smile to her face!
Design Steps:

Designer Steps:
 1.  Using the Arctic Snowy Tree die cut 2 trees using green and white card stock.  Using the Snowy Mountains die cut it out using gray and white card stock
 2.  Assemble the trees and the mountain using a fine tip glue
 3.  Cut a piece of blue card stock 4 x 5 1/8, cut a 3 x 5 1/8 piece of green card stock and then make a freehand cut rolling hill on the top.  Use of piece of wave DP 3 x 5 1/8 and cut out the top of the waves
 4.  Cut out a piece of green card stock 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 for the background.  Glue the waves to the bottom of the blue card stock leaving room to slip in the green grass and on the green grass glue it down leaving room to slip in the mountains

5.  Next slip in the 2 pine trees and add a row of the wave DP at the bottom.  Glue just the bottom of that piece so you can slip in the Narwhal
6.  Using the Arctic Whale and Narwhal die cut the Narwhal out of gray card stock and his tusk out of white.  Shade the Narwhal with gray ink and his tusk with a light tan ink.  Use a black marker for his eye.  Slip the sea creature into the waves and add your sentiment

You Moose Be Mine!

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

I can't believe that Valentine's Day is less then a month away!!  I am finishing up my Valentines and I also have 2 birthdays in the month of February.  My sister was born on Ground Hogs day and my brother-in-law's is just a few days later.  So on to making today's card!
Design Steps:

1.  Using the Arctic Moose and Polar Bear die cut out the moose in brown twice.  Then using white card stock cut out the fur under the chin and and fur on the head twice
2.  Using a dark brown and rust colored inks shade the two moose.  Add black marker to the hooves and eyes.  Then assemble the moose leaving the antlers off of the female moose
 3.  Using the Victorian Fence die cut it out of white card stock.  Using the Spring Grass die cut it out of light green card stock.  Last using some polka dot DP cut out the frame using the Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame
 4.  Behind the frame first glue the grass and then behind the grass glue down the fence

 5.  Flip the frame over and add strips of dimension tape to pop it up on the card front
6.  Glue a piece of polka dot DP to a white A2 card base.  The DP will be just slightly smaller then the card base front.  Next glue down a piece of heart DP which is the slightly smaller then the frame
7.  Next pop the frame to the card front as shown.  Add the moose the male behind the fence and the female in front of the fence.  Add the sentiment and your card is complete

Walrus Hugs

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

I have two little great nephews and one new born great niece.  I got to meet my new niece over Christmas and she is just so sweet and such a good baby! They all just love animals.  The last valentine I made had a whale and this one is going to have two baby walruses.  These little arctic creatures are just so much fun!

Design Steps

 1.  Cut the walrus out of white and gray card stock using the Baby Walruses die
 2.  Shade the pieces with gray ink then assemble using a fine tip glue
 3.  Using the Sweetheart Doilies die cut them out of a red metallic, pink and gray card stock.  Next using the same red metallic card stock and the Expressions Hugs & Kisses die cut out 2 of the sentiment.  Then glue the sentiment piece together to make it stand out nicely on your card
 4. Use an A2 gray card base, cut out red metallic card stock 5 1/4 x 4 and then cut a piece of DP 5 x 4 3/4
5.  Glue the red to the gray card base then add the DP
 6.  Glue the sentiment to the bottom of the DP as shown
 7.  Add the Sweetheart Doilies as shown
8.  Pop the little baby walruses to the doilies and your card is complete!

Tons of Love

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is time to start my Valentine cards!  I am finding that the cute Arctic Animals are perfect little critters to make adorable Valentines for friends and family.  I am starting out by using the Whale from the Arctic Whale and Narwhal die.

Designer Steps:

 1.  Use an A2 white card base cut a piece of red card stock 4 1/8 x 5 1/4.  And glue it to the white base card. Cut a piece of DP as shown

 2.  Cut a piece of blue card stock 4 x 5 1/8.  Use some blue ink and brush onto blue card stock to add some texture for the sky then glue to the red card stock
3.  Glue the DP to the blue card stock
4.  Using the Arctic Whale and Narwhal die cut out the whale using black and white card stock and then assemble.  Pop up the whale to the card and add the hearts and sentiment.  Your card is complete!

It's Cold Outside!!!

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!!

I was in Ohio for Christmas with my sister and brother.  And it was really cold compared to South Carolina.  So that was my inspiration for this card.  I am sending it up to my sister to thank her for hosting us during the holidays and showing us such a wonderful time.

Design Steps:

 1.  Start by cutting all of the pieces out of white card stock using the Arctic Penguins and Igloo die
 2.  Color all the pieces with your markers and assemble them
 3.  Use a white A2 card base, cut a piece of navy card stock just slightly smaller then the card front.  Cut a piece of DP 4 x 5 1/4.  And then make two banks of snow
 4.  Glue the DP to the navy card stock.  Glue down the two banks of snow layering one on top of the other then add in the igloo
 5.  Next pop up the penguins with dimension dots

6.  Using the Border Icicle die cut out the icicles using white glitter card stock.  Attach the icicles to the top of the card.  Add your sentiment and some silver glitter and your card is complete
