He is Risen! Scrapping Cottage

Good Morning Everyone!

Just a quick reminder that our new Spring Release dies are on sale today for 25% off!  Don't miss out on this fantastic savings!
I have started making my Easter cards.  And today I am using one of the new release dies that is absolutely gorgeous and the true meaning of Easter.

Design Steps:
Use a stencil to create the sunburst.  I used Tim Holtz inks and blender tool to add the color
Use the second to the largest Pierced Rectangle die to cut out the stencil sunburst

Use the He is Risen Cross die and cut them out of white card stock
Use a light blue A2 card base.  Cut a piece of light yellow card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and run it through an embossing folder
Glue the embossed yellow card stock to the blue card base.  Pop up the sunburst onto the card on the left side of the card front
Glue the He is Risen to the front of the card
Pop up the cross on the left side of the card and your card is complete

Spring is Coming!

Good Afternoon!

House Mouse Challenge this month is weather.  So I decided to choose a warm spring day with the card I designed.  Spring is just around the corner here in South Carolina.  It is in the high 70's today so it feels like it is already here!

I used Copic markers to color the image and added layers of designer papers for the background. The scallop is a border punch.  I also added a ribbon for some texture.

Froggie Hello - Scrapping Cottage

Hi Blogging Friends!

I am so happy you stopped by today! And before we get started I wanted to let you know that we are having a wonderful sale in our online store. The new Spring release is 25% off.  Check out the new dies! They are so adorable.

Today, I am using one of the dies from the Spring release.  I think this little frog is just so cute!

Designer Steps:
 1.  Cut out your frog using the Spring Frog with Lily Pad die.  I used two different greens, blue, tan, pink and white card stock
 2.  Use a variety of ink pads to shadow your pieces and then assemble the frog.  I used a black marker to color the white die cut eyes and then added a white dot with a gel pen
 3.  Assemble the flower and the cattail
 4.  Use the large Stitched Scallop die and cut out a white circle.  Use a stencil and blue ink to make the clouds
 5.  Arrange the cattail and lily pad on cloud circle and glue them down.  Then pop up the frog onto the lily pad with dimension tape
 6.  Use an A2 white card base and cut out a slightly smaller piece of blue card stock for the front of the card.  Use a punch on the side of the blue to get the different size holes
 6.  Cut a piece of checked green DP 3 1/4 x 5 1/4 and glue it to the blue card stock.  Then glue it to the front of the card
 7.  Place dimension tape to the back of the scalloped stitched circle and place it on the front of the card
 8.  Use the Hello die and cut it out of white foam and glue it to the front of the card as shown

Valentine Bunny - House Mouse Challenge

Good Morning!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I am doing this card for the House Mouse Challenge.  The challenge theme is Love/Valentine.  I am using the Hoppy Moments set to create my fun little scene.

I stamped the image and then colored with copic markers.  Cut it out with a rounded stitched square die from Pink and Main and added a scalloped red square just behind it.  The scalloped square is from  CottageCutz.
The bottom grass and fence is from CottageCutz dies and the DP is from Recollections.  The hearts I cut from my Cricut.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentines Day to all!

Now on to today's project.  I love teacups and flowers so naturally this die was just calling my name!!  It is called Spring Teacup Bouquet.  I can already tell it will be so versatile with uses for so many occasions.

Design Steps:
 1.  Using the Spring Teacup Bouquet die cut out the flowers and cup in colors of your choice.  I did a little shading on the flowers and cup before the assembly
 2.  Use an A2 card base cut a piece of black 4 x 5 1/4, dotted DP 3 3/4 x 5 and then using the Nested Stitched Scallop Square die cut out a black square.  I used the second from the largest.  Run the square through a dotted embossing folder
 3.  Begin assembling the flower arrangement on the black square.  I put a foam dot under the teacup and then began my flower placement
 4.  Glue the black card stock and the DP to the front of the card and then pop up the black square slightly above center
5.  Using the Expressions Thanks cut it out of black card stock.  Glue the Thanks to the lower right of the card under the arrangement and your card is complete
